The three pillars of the retreat

Background Knowledge

to frame and understand lived experiences

Bodywork

to facilitate flow, trust and inner balance

Mindfulness Exercises

for slowing down, going inwards and cultivating a welcoming inner space

01 The Retreat

Receptivity often arises where silence begins

The focus of the retreat is to support women on their journey to receive new life – including the medical aspects, but also the mindful transition into motherhood. Waiting and longing to become pregnant often turns the attention onto smaller and smaller details in hopes of causes, explanations and solutions.

The retreat centres on the holistic dimensions of receptiveness that can get lost with a narrow focus on measurable and medical details of fertility.

Many aspects of fertility and receptivity show parallels to sexuality: letting go, devotion, trust, receptiveness and connection to oneself.

Body work and medical treatments are not seen as contradictory but as complimentary practices to become more receptive. In the retreat, time and stillness is given to the nervous system – because a regulated, calm nervous system is one of the most important foundations for receptivity.

During the retreat there will be space for silence, body awareness and connection to oneself. Insights from Chinese Medicine complement this experience: as background knowledge that helps a woman understand her own body and its rhythms more deeply.

The seminar is focused on individual inner experiences and creates a safe space in which each woman decides for herself what she wants to share with others.

“Time for Fertility is not a technical training
or an optimization program.
It is an invitation to listen to your own body again
and understand fertility as a process that needs time,
openness and a strong relationship to yourself.”

02 About Me

Why I created this retreat

Ching-Ling Tan-Bleinroth

For over 20 years, I have accompanied women on their fertility journey in my practice, combining Western medicine and Chinese Medicine. I keep coming back to the same insight: many women lose themselves in optimisation and waiting for the next result.

I created Time for Fertility because I wanted to open a space that embraces what lies beyond diagnoses and treatments. A space where a woman can come back to herself, her body, and her own strength.

This retreat is both for women who wish to conceive naturally and for those who are receiving medical support.

My work draws on several sources: Chinese Medicine, many years of qi gong practice, and the retreats of Diana Richardson, whose understanding of mindfulness and body awareness has shaped this retreat profoundly.

03 The Invitation

Coming home to yourself

The retreat accompanies women in feeling relaxed and at home in their own body, in deepening their self-awareness, and in opening a space in which receptivity can grow from within.

04 Dates

Two paths, one goal

At the heart

The Retreat

The Retreat is the heart of “Time for Fertility”. Four days in a row, two evenings and two mornings, in which you can truly step out of everyday life, leaving performance pressure and expectations at the door.

Each day brings you deeper and closer to yourself.

In this protected setting, body work, background knowledge from Chinese Medicine and guided meditation come together.

The Retreat is for women who are ready to give themselves a conscious pause to gather their strength and move forward with ease on their fertility journey.

Staying in practice

Deepening Day

For women who have already completed the Retreat, I offer the Deepening Day, a full day to reinforce what has been experienced and to stay in practice.

Receptivity needs slowness and repetition. Some qualities want to be invited again and again, and it makes a difference whether you practice alone or in a group of women walking the same path.

Each date has its own focus theme. The most important exercises recur, and each time something new is added.

A single, pressure-free day on which you arrive back fully with yourself.

What participants say

„

Especially during this stressful time of trying to conceive, when so much isn’t going to plan and the pressure feels overwhelming, the retreat helped me shift my focus back to myself.

The emphasis is less on the past or on opening up to others, and more on the connection with oneself and with one’s own body.

I now focus less on my problems and uncertainties, and more on my own needs in the here and now. I feel noticeably calmer and more balanced inside. Beyond the mental effect, I have developed a new, more comfortable relationship with my body and am much more attuned to what I feel. I can wholeheartedly recommend this retreat.

When I first heard about this retreat, I was immediately curious. From the moment I entered the practice, I sensed a relaxed, open atmosphere, one that stayed with me throughout every session.

What surprised me most were my mental and physical responses: at work in the kindergarten, I became much calmer and more at ease, and felt more in tune with myself. Especially with conception in mind, I find this inner stillness incredibly valuable.

For me, the retreat was true me-time, a precious space to simply be with myself. I will definitely continue, and I can recommend this retreat wholeheartedly.

For me, the time we shared was a conscious step out of the daily balancing act between professional and personal expectations, held within a space of thoughtfulness, patience and warmth. To this day, I draw on the techniques and knowledge that Dr Tan-Bleinroth shared with us.

06 Frequently Asked Questions

Good to know

The retreat is for women who want to become a mother, regardless of where they currently are on their path. Whether you are just beginning and want to prepare, have been on this path for a while, or are receiving medical support: you are welcome. Women who need a break from this topic and simply want to reconnect with themselves will also find their place here.

Absolutely. When soil is well prepared, seeds can grow. Those who begin early to get to know their own body and to cultivate receptivity are doing exactly that. And those who have been on this path for longer will find a space here that nourishes and gives new strength, as a complement to medical care and treatment.

Most fertility offerings focus on information, optimisation and medical measurements. That has its place. This retreat, however, turns its attention to dimensions of receptivity that are often overlooked: the connection to one’s own body, deep relaxation and regeneration, and the feeling of being at home in oneself.

You can expect guided meditations and body exercises to help you return mindfully to your own body. There is space for exchange and perception exercises. We explore different aspects of receptivity, becoming pregnant, sustaining a pregnancy, and what supports the path to motherhood.

This is complemented by insights from Chinese Medicine that can be applied in everyday life.

The nervous system is at the heart of many of the exercises. A chronically overstimulated or activated nervous system directly blocks receptivity, it signals to the body: now is not the right moment. In the retreat, participants learn to consciously regulate their nervous system, through breath, movement, stillness and body awareness. This is not a relaxation exercise. It is physiology.

Yes, absolutely. The retreat is expressly also for women receiving medical support, whether hormonal treatment, IVF or other procedures. Body work, Chinese Medicine and medical treatment are not opposites, they complement each other and together can make a difference.

None in particular. You do not need any experience with body work or meditation. All that matters is a willingness to engage with yourself and to be open to new impulses.

The retreat is designed exclusively for women. The protected space among women is a deliberate choice: it creates an atmosphere in which openness and depth can arise. Given enough demand, I also offer a retreat for couples. Please get in touch if you are interested.

Yes. Participants of the retreat are welcome to continue attending the Deepening Retreats, to integrate what was experienced into everyday life and to keep the practice alive. These can be booked individually.

At the moment the retreat is offered in German. An English-language retreat is being planned. Please get in touch if you are interested.
